Tanner Whitson, E.I.T.
Tanner Whitson is currently working as an Associate Fire Protection Engineer for Waxler Fire Protection Engineering. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering with a minor in Applied Mathematics from Texas State University. He graduated in the Fall of 2021 with Summa Cum Laude honors.
During his academic career, he balanced multiple internships and obtained a certification as a Green Belt in Six Sigma. He is an active member of multiple organizations including the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), and the Texas Fire Protection Association (TFPA).
At WFPE, he assists with HAZMAT evaluations, commodity letters, fire system plan reviews, water supply analyses, fire hydrant flow tests, code consulting, site inspections, and drafting technical reports. Tanner plans on taking the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam this spring and looks forward to growing in the field of Fire Protection Engineering with WFPE.
