Matthew White is currently working as a fire protection engineer for Waxler Fire Protection Engineering. He has four years of experience in the fire protection industry and began working for WFPE in October 2020. He currently works on hazmat evaluations, plan reviews, heat loss calculations, water supply analyses, fire hydrant flow tests, and fire sprinkler/fire alarm designs. He is a current member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) and the Texas Fire Protection Association (TFPA).
Matthew got his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2012 and has focused his career on thermodynamics and fluid flow mechanics. While in college, he interned for a geothermal power production startup. He then went on to work in the oil field as a field engineer before finding his calling for fire protection.
Matthew plans on taking the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) Exam this fall and looks forward to growing with WFPE. Matthew is married and has a two-year-old daughter, Emily, and a 5-month-old son, Cole. He enjoys barbequing and spending time with his family.
